The first Soviet armored personnel carrier BTR-152 was designed in 1946-1950. The BTR-152B was adopted by the Soviet Army in 1958. Developed on the basis of the ZIL-157 army truck. The BTR-152K modification had a hull roof. On the basis of the BTR-152B, a wide range of special army equipment was created - command and staff mobile posts, medical vehicles, self-propelled anti-aircraft guns. BTR-152B and their variants served in the armies of the USSR and the Warsaw Pact, the armed forces of Soviet-oriented countries. These machines were widely used during the Arab-Israeli wars, in Angola and Vietnam
