M26 "Pershing" (English M26 Pershing) - an American medium tank of 1944-1969 (in 1944-1946, the M26 was temporarily classified as heavy in the American army). Named after General John Pershing, who led the American Expeditionary Force during World War I. It was developed as a replacement for the M4 Sherman. Pershing tanks participated in the Second World War; participated in the Korean War in 1950-1951.
