The most common all-wheel drive 6-wheeled truck of the Soviet army of the 80s had a diesel engine and a cab-over-engine layout. Its production began in 1981 at the plant in Naberezhnye Lodki. The car was distinguished by its high reliability and cross-country ability.

Currently, the car is in service with the armies of Russia, Ukraine and other countries.
There were many modifications of six-wheeled cabover trucks for the Soviet Army and civilians. In 1989, the improved model 101 was released, and in 1996, the model 114. Its production at the Kama Automobile Plant continues to this day.
