In the late 30s of the last century, the French company Liore et Olivier began production of two new reconnaissance gyroplanes.
Released in 1938, the LeO C-301 was an upgraded version of the English autogyro Cierva C.30A with a Salmson 9Ne engine, like the LeO C-30.
After the successful testing of this prototype, the Fleet Aviation ordered the construction of 6 copies.
The latter was placed at the base in Lanveok just before its capture by German troops.
