"Tochka" (GRAU index - 9K79, according to NATO classification - SS-21 Scarab A, according to the INF Treaty - OTR-21) - Soviet tactical (division) missile system. Development began in 1968 at the Kolomenskoye Mechanical Engineering Design Bureau. Officially adopted by the Soviet Army in 1975, serial production of missiles began in 1973.
The complex is based on an all-wheel drive floating chassis BAZ with a 6×6 formula. The missile of the complex has a warhead weighing 482 kg, and could be equipped with various types of warhead, including nuclear. The missile's flight range is 15–70 km.
