The first Soviet armored personnel carrier BTR-152 was developed in 1946-1950.
The BTR-152B was adopted by the Soviet Army in 1958. It is developed on the basis of the ZIL-157 army truck. The BTR-152K modification had a hull roof. Based on the BTR-152B, a wide range of special army equipment has been created - mobile command and headquarters posts, medical vehicles, self-propelled anti-aircraft guns.
BTR-152B and their variants served in the armies of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact, armed with the forces of Soviet-oriented countries. These machines were widely used during the Arab-Israeli wars, in Angola and Vietnam
