Description
It was created in 1931-1933 by Panard by order of the French cavalry, for the role of a reconnaissance vehicle for cavalry formations.
Serially produced from 1937 until the surrender of France in 1940, a total of 527 armored vehicles of this type were produced.
During the Second World War, AMD 35 was the most modern armored car of the French Army and was actively used by it during the reflection of the German invasion.
After the end of the war, the surviving armored vehicles of this type were replaced by the more modern E.B.R.75 in the French Army in the 1950s, but they were used in the French colonies at least until the 1960s.
