This truck was equipped with a 4-cyl. The Deutz Diesel engine had only rear-wheel drive.
KHD S3000 trucks were widely used in all branches of the German army until the end of the war everywhere - on the Soviet-German front, in North Africa, Italy, France. In off-road conditions, non-four-wheel drive cars showed low passability, so a large number of KHD uipped with a 4-cylinder Deutz diesel
