The German armed forces of the Second World War were rightfully considered one of the most motorized and highly mobile military formations in the world. In the period from the early 1930s to the spring of 1945, 537.8 thousand wheeled vehicles of all types were built for the German armed forces at domestic enterprises. The largest share of production was trucks - 429,002 units. At the same time, the share of captured vehicles of the German army was also very high. During the fighting, a large number of trophies were captured, including trucks. Among them were also American Studebaker US6, which the US supplied to the allies under the Lend-Lease program.
