The Panhard VBL, also known as simply the VBL, is an all-terrain armored car with a 4×4 wheel formula created by the Panhard company. The car is produced in various configurations. It was designed to combine the agility of the Peugeot VLTT with a modern car well protected from small arms, shrapnel, mines and nuclear, chemical and biological weapons.
The VBL can swim across water obstacles at a speed of 5.4 km/h; It is also designed for transport by C-130, C-160 and A400M aircraft. It was developed in the 1980s and entered service in France in 1990. Fuel consumption is 16 liters per 100 km.
