The destroyer Z25 was laid down on February 15, 1939 at the W959 shipyard of the Deutsche Schiff- und Maschinenbau, AG Weser plant in Bremen, launched on March 16, 1940, and commissioned into the naval forces of the Third Reich on November 30, 1940.
The ship participated in the hostilities of World War II in Atlantic and Arctic waters, and fought off the coast of Europe.
