The F-16AM aircraft entering the Ukrainian Air Force are modernized versions of the F-16 Fighting Falcon, a multi-role fighter capable of performing a wide range of missions, including air combat and attacks on ground targets. These aircraft, which are transferred to Ukraine by allies, in particular Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium, have undergone MLU (Mid-Life Update) modernization.
