BM-27 "Hurricane" (Russian: Ураган, GRAU index 9P140) is a self-propelled multiple rocket launcher system developed in the Soviet Union. It entered service with the Soviet Army in the late 1970s and was the first modern heavy rocket salvo system with a stabilized spin line.
The BM-27 Uragan is capable of launching 220 mm missiles from 16 launchers mounted on the rear of the ZIL-135 8x8 chassis. This machine is very similar to the one used in the FROG-7 free flight missile system.
