The T31 tank destroyer was the prototype of the American heavy tank of World War II. The only prototype of the machine passed field tests in 1945. However, the T31 tank was never put into mass production. The tank was equipped with one 500 hp Ford GAA engine. It was armed with two 182mm T94 rocket launchers and three 12.7mm and 7.62mm Browning machine guns.
