44M Zrinyi I and 43M Zrinyi II are Hungarian assault guns based on the chassis of the Turan tank. The 44M variant was armed with a high-velocity 75 mm cannon and was intended to serve as a tank destroyer. Testing of the prototype revealed some problems with the pistol, which delayed development. Serial production was planned for mid-1944 and never began due to the Soviet occupation. 43M Zrinyi II is an assault howitzer armed with a 105 mm cannon. Its production began in 1943, and 66 vehicles were produced before the Soviet occupation began.
