Ferdinand or Elefant (Sd.Kfz 184) was a German tank destroyer from World War II. The first prototypes of the machine were created in 1942, and mass production continued only in 1943, finishing the production of only about 90 machines. Ferdinand was equipped with two 300 hp Maybach HL 120 TRM engines. each. It was armed with 1 88 mm PaK 43 L/71 cannon and, later, 1 7.92 mm MG34 machine gun.
