The BT-5 is a Soviet wheeled-tracked light tank developed in the mid-1930s. It was a development of previous BT models and the predecessor of the more famous BT-7.
However, by the beginning of the Second World War, the BT-5 had already begun to become obsolete due to the emergence of more modern and more armored tanks. Many of them were modernized or replaced by more modern models such as the BT-7 and subsequent tanks.
