The Challenger 2 is the main battle tank of the British Army. It is also in service in Oman. The UK ordered 127 Challenger 2 tanks in 1991 and another 259 in 1994. Oman ordered 18 tanks in 1993 and another 20 in November 1997. "Challenger 2" entered service with the British army in 1998, the last car entered the army in 2002. The operation of tanks of this model is expected until 2035.
