The M36 Jackson or Slugger was an American tank destroyer from World War II. The M36 entered combat in the second half of 1944. Despite such a late deadline, he managed to become famous for destroying a large number of enemy equipment, especially during the German offensive in the Ardennes. Much of the design was based on the proven M10, but a typical turret was introduced that worked in conjunction with the best M3 90mm anti-tank gun in the American arsenal of the time. Together with the recently introduced new HVAP missiles, it was able to penetrate all German armor without exception.
