The T-54 is a Soviet medium tank developed at the end of World War II. It was adopted by the USSR Armed Forces in 1946 and replaced the T-34-85 and T-44. Developed on the KB-520 in evacuation under the leadership of Oleksandr Morozov.
This tank has many modifications, the most famous of which is the T-55 tank, adapted for combat operations in the conditions of the use of nuclear weapons. Western researchers often do not distinguish T-54 and T-55, calling them under the common name T-54/55, because the tanks are very similar to each other.
