The design concept of the SWS half-track vehicle is that it can be used as a low-cost general purpose vehicle for towing heavy artillery and transporting cargo on the eastern front in harsh conditions. In the spring of 1943 Bussing-NAG produced the first prototype and immediately produced and ordered the military. SWS from the previous version was a transport type with a soft awning cabin, later it was also armored.
