Armored combat vehicle "Puma" (German: Schützenpanzer Puma - "puma") is a German infantry fighting vehicle (BMP). The Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and Rheinmetall-Landsysteme (RLS) concerns are developing and producing an experimental batch of BMPs.
The project is implemented as part of a joint venture of both KMW and RLS concerns. Starting in 2014, it was planned to supply the German ground forces with a batch of 410 vehicles intended to replace the obsolete "Marder" BMP. In 2012, the order was reduced to 350 units with an increase in the cost of one BMP to seven million euros.
The first samples of the Puma BMP were delivered on December 10, 2010.
