The BMP-2M is an upgrade of the existing BMP-2 mechanized infantry fighting vehicles. The modernization consists in installing the Berezhok weapons complex, which is a deep modernization of the BMP-2 turret. The main and twin weapons are preserved and supplemented with the Kornet anti-tank missile system and an automatic grenade launcher. In addition, the commander is provided with a panoramic sight mounted on a pedestal.
