The Flakpanzer Gepard (German: Flugabwehrkanonenpanzer Gepard) was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun developed in the 1960s and used in combat until the end of the 20th century. This tank was equipped with a pair of 35 mm Oerlikon KDA automatic cannons, which were effective against airborne targets such as airplanes and helicopters.
The Flakpanzer Gepard was created on the basis of the Leopard 1 tank chassis, which provided it with good mobility and reliability. It had sufficient speed and maneuverability to quickly move across the battlefield and provide protection from air attacks.
