The armored car Kazak-2, belonging to the State Border Service of Ukraine, was developed by the Ukrainian enterprise Scientific and Production Association Praktika in 2009. Initially, a prototype was made under the name SRM-1 "Kazak", but serial production was not started at that time for several reasons. Subsequently, in 2014, Praktika specialists began designing a new armored car based on the SRM-1 "Kazak" using the Iveco Eurocargo chassis. Until the spring of 2015, the "Kazak-2" variant was presented. This armored vehicle belongs to the MRAP class of combat vehicles, designed to protect the crew from mines and ambushes.
