The most numerous and famous tank in world history was the Soviet T-34. Developed in the design bureau of the Kharkov plant No. 183 under the leadership of M.I. Koshkin.
Its serial production began in 1940. It was the first serial medium tank with shell-proof armor, a powerful diesel engine and a 76.2 mm long-barreled gun. It was the best tank in the world until the end of 1941.
