"Sturmtiger" (German: Sturmtiger), full official name - 38 cm RW61 auf Sturmmörser Tiger, also commonly known as "Sturmpanzer VI" (German: Sturmpanzer VI) - German self-propelled artillery mount (SAU) of the Second World War, class of assault guns, heavy in weight. Created in 1943 on the chassis of the heavy tank "Tiger" and was intended for the destruction of enemy fortifications and battles in urban conditions. In total, 18 Sturmtigers were converted from main battle tanks between 1943 and 1945, including the prototype. They saw limited combat use until almost the end of the war, but due to their small numbers, lack of suitable targets, unreliability, and supply probl
