The 4-ton 6x6 Diamond T series truck entered production in early 1941 in the 968/969/970 versions: truck, heavy tow truck and tipper. Later, the chassis of this truck was used as a universal platform for some special versions such as asphalt concrete, water tank, crane or snow blower. All versions of the Diamond T truck served in the US Army in virtually all theaters of World War II and later into the early 1950s. Some versions of this truck were used by British, Canadian and Polish military units during the Second World War.
