The Chevrolet C15 and C15A were among the first vehicles built in Canada for a special military order by CMP. Production began in 1940 by the Canadian company General Motors. The cars were equipped with two cab options: No. 11 or No. 13. The C15A version had a two-axis drive. Identical cars were built at Ford factories under the F15A badge. C15As served as light trucks, infantry transporters, tankers, communications vehicles, command vehicles, tractors and self-propelled anti-aircraft batteries. Until 1945, 390,000 vehicles were built under the CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) program.
