The chassis is the same size as the Austin 10 sedan and uses a "platform" design, which is the result of welding a pressed steel floor to the frame, providing great diagonal stiffness. But the military vehicle had a more powerful engine, added an additional water pump, as well as a larger fuel tank and used "cross" tires. About 30,000 cars were produced.
