These vehicles were very popular in the army due to their robust design and fantastic cross-country ability. Various special vehicles were based on the Ural-375 chassis, such as command mobile posts, radio and radar stations, transport and launchers for anti-aircraft missiles, fuel tanks and multiple launch rocket systems. Ural-375 vehicles were in service with the armies of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact, the armed forces of Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
