Born in 1939 Renault has begun the development of hoodless vans of the AN series for the French army. One of them became AHN with a weight of 3.5 tons. The first prototype was released in the bitter 1940s. The car has a simple design, with a flat cab without a hood. This serial production began in the spring of 1941, already under the rule of the German occupation administration. After the Allies acquired the plant in 1944, producing cars, the production of vantage cars was renewed. A modification called AHN2 entered the series. The car was marketed for the military needs of France, and was also sold for civilian use. The growth of modern automobiles lasted from the fall of leaves in 1944 until 1946. In total, 8400 units were released.
