The Mercedes-Benz L3000 is a 3-ton 4x2 rear-wheel drive truck used by Nazi Germany during World War II, equipped with a 4-cylinder Daimler-Benz OM 65/4 diesel engine with a capacity of 74 hp. It was used together with the Opel Blitz and proved to be even more reliable on rough terrain; and was used on all fronts and widely by the Africa Corps. It was produced in three versions from 1938 to 1944: the L3000, L3000A and L3000S. When production ceased, over 27,700 L3000 trucks had been produced, making it the most produced Mercedes-Benz truck of World War II.
