The M1070 or Oshkosh HET is an American tank transporter[en] manufactured by Oshkosh. In current operation in the A0, A1 and M1300 configurations it is connected to the M1000 DRS Technologies semi-trailer. The main purpose of this combination for the US Army is to transport the M1 Abrams tank. This combination replaced the earlier Oshkosh M911 tractor and M747 semi-trailer. In the M1300 version it is intended for road traffic in Europe and works with another trailer.
The official manufacturer's name is HET (Heavy Equipment Transporter). Accordingly, the HET A0 and HET A1 are adopted by the US Army under the indices M1070A0 and M1070A1.
