Germany began to build a modern army after 1933. An important part of the motorization of the Wehrmacht was the production of three-axle 3-ton trucks. The most numerous of them was the Henschel 33. It was on the conveyors from 1934 to 1942. The D1 modification had a 6-cyl. gasoline engine
A total of about 22,000 Henschel 33 were produced.
Some chassis had special bodies. One of them was the Kfz.72 from the body. These machines were used as transmitters and transceivers in high power A/B mobile radio stations.
