The 76.2-mm divisional gun F-22 was developed in KB-92 under the leadership of V.G. Grabin Directorate and adopted by the Red Army in 1936.
In 1941-1942, a large number of F-22 guns were captured by the German army.
These captured guns were stripped, the chamber was bored out, the charge was increased by 2.4 times, a muzzle brake was installed, the angle of the angle was reduced, and the cut-off mechanism was turned off.
The gun was named "7.62 cm Pak 36(r)". A total of 560 guns were delivered. The Pak 36(r) was the most powerful anti-tank gun of the Wehrmacht until 1943.
