The finished model measures 32.08 inches (815 mm) long, 11.81 inches (300 mm) wide and 25.60 inches (650 mm) high.
Originally built as a coal ship, she was later refitted for Captain James Cook's long expeditions across the great South Sea.
Launched in 1764 and selected by the aforementioned sailor four years later to prepare for his historic voyage, HMS Endeavor was part of an important discovery. He discovered Australia and contributed to the discovery of Tahiti, New Zealand and many islands in the Pacific Ocean, as well as species of animals and plants previously unknown in Europe.
