The Leopard 2 was developed in West Germany in the 1970s and became the main battle tank of the German Bundeswehr. Among them, the A6 has significantly improved its offensive and defensive capabilities and has undergone further modernization. The wedge-shaped additional armor of the turret and the commander's panoramic sight, equipped with a thermal imaging device, were inherited from the previous A5, and the 120-mm smoothbore gun of the main gun was expanded to 55 caliber. Muzzle velocity and armor penetration were significantly increased by increasing the barrel length to more than 1 meter. The A6, which entered service in 2001, has earned credibility by operating the type, which has undergone its own modernization, in Greece and Canada.
