The Scimitar MK.2 is a modernized version of a light armored vehicle, part of the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) – CVR(T) family. Developed in the 1970s, this reconnaissance armored vehicle was actively used by the British army in many military conflicts, including the Falklands War, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The MK.2 version received updated armor, which increases crew protection, as well as improved control and navigation systems.
