The passenger car Moskvich-400 was produced at the Moscow Light Automobile Plant (ZMA) since December 1946. It was an exact copy of the pre-war 4-door version of the Opel Kadett K38. Moskvich cars were produced in various types. A smaller number were Moskvich-401-420A cars with a 4-door open convertible-sedan body. A total of 17,742 convertibles were produced from 1949 to 1954.
