In 1941, Daimler-Benz designed the L1500S chassis with a load capacity of 1.5 tons. Most of these chassis received closed bodies for an 8-person fire brigade (LLG). TSA trailers were equipped with a fire pump. The equipment also included stepladders and fire hoses.
By the end of 1944, about 3850 LLGs were produced on all types of chassis. Cars on Daimler-Benz chassis were very durable and reliable.
From 1943, the L1500S LLG fire engines were renamed LF 8. They were used by German fire brigades for several years after the war.
