The Admiral model was first launched by Opel in 1937 and was intended to compete with such cars as Horch, Mercedes-Benz and Maybach. The Admiral was available as a 4-door sedan and convertible. The engine is an in-line 6-cylinder with a working volume of 3.6, which developed a maximum speed of 132 km/h. Admiral production was closed in 1939 due to Opel's transition to military production.
