A passenger car of a modern design with a monocoque body "Cadet" K38 was one of the most numerous in the pre-war model range of Opel. From 1937 to 1943, a total of 56,335 vehicles were produced. With the outbreak of war, most of the Cadet vehicles were requisitioned and used as personal vehicles for Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe officers. These vehicles were used on both the Western and Eastern fronts until the end of World War II.
