The pinnacle of the pre-war Opel model range was a luxury passenger car with a powerful Admiral engine. From February 1938 to October 1939, only 6,404 cars were produced. At the beginning of the war, most of the cars were requisitioned and used as personal transport for senior officers of the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe. These cars were used on both the Western and Eastern Fronts until the end of World War II. Admiral`s Cars were produced in different types, including more than 2,000 cars with a convertible body with an open top.
