X-Craft is a midget submarine developed by the British Royal Navy for special operations. The submarine, with a crew of 4, had a length of 15.62 m, a maximum diameter of 1.75 m and a displacement of 30 tons. It was equipped with a 42 hp diesel engine. for surface navigation and an electric motor with a power of 30 hp. for underwater movement. The boat had 4 waterproof compartments and had removable high-explosive packs installed on both sides of the hull.

On September 20, 1943, six X-Craft submarines were used to attack German warships in a port in Norway. Only two X-Crafts managed to explode their cargoes and cause sufficient damage to the German battleship Tirpitz, which put her out of action until April 1944.
