The Typhoon-class submarine is a Soviet heavy nuclear missile submarine of strategic purpose of project 941 "Akula", which according to the NATO classification is called "Typhoon". These ships are the largest in the world in terms of displacement, have a unique multi-hull design and carried 20 intercontinental ballistic missiles on board. Six such submarines were built, and as of 2025, all of them have been decommissioned and disposed of or are awaiting disposal/transformation into museum exhibits.
