"Seehund" (German: "Seehund" - "Seal", also "Type XXVII B" German: "Typ XXVII B") - a German type of ultra-small submarine intended for coastal and sabotage operations, developed by the Kriegsmarine at the end of World War II. Having made 142 combat sorties, they were able to sink or damage enemy ships with a total tonnage of about 37,000 tons. A total of 285 units of ultra-small submarines of this type were built.
