American Pennsylvania-class battleship. Launched on June 19, 1915. Sunk by Japanese aircraft on 7 December 1941 at Pearl Harbor. Not raised. The remains of the ship, located at the bottom of the bay, have been turned into a memorial. During a Japanese air raid, four powerful air bombs hit the battleship. Once in the bow compartments and breaking through several decks, they exploded deep in the ship's hull, where the main battery magazines were located. The cellars of the main battery bow towers detonated. After that, the battleship rapidly took on water and lay down on the ground.
