On December 27, 2009, a ceremony was held to start the construction of the first ship. Destroyers of this project will be the largest in the world after the American destroyers of the "Zamvolt" type.
It is reported that the advanced technologies of "Aegis" - destroyers of the previous generation, type 052D, will be used as much as possible in this project.
