Ka-29 "Helix-B" is a deck-based attack and transport helicopter developed by Russia. The project was started in 1973, based on the Ka-27 naval helicopter, and the first flight took place on July 28, 1976. , test pilot E.I. Aryushin. The state entrance exams ended in May 1979. Serial production began in 1984. Three years later, the new helicopter was spotted by NATO scouts outside the large landing ship "Ivan Rogov".
